Help! I can't decide which bloggers to choose for awards! Nominations?

Dear GLPS Bloggers,

I'm proud of you all for your excellent work, and I think most of you have enjoyed blogging during the camp.  Some of you have REALLY enjoyed it, and it shows in your work.  My problem is there are so many excellent blogs, I'm having trouble choosing.  Some of you have really stepped on the gas and improved your blogs a lot over the last week!

So, if you know of a really good blog, or even think your blog is really good, please nominate it and tell me why you think it's good!

We could go and on and on with various sorts of awards...such as:

1-Funniest Blog
2-Prettiest Blog
3-Most Annoying Orange Videos Blog
4-Most Debate Posts Blog
5-Best Boys Blog
6-Best Girls Blog
7-Award for Best Grammar
8-Award for Best Spelling
9-Award for Most Pictures of Puppies
10-Award for Most Pictures of Justin Bieberlake

Did I miss any?  Of course I did. We could go on forever until everyone has an award.  But what I'm really interested in are the two best blogs from each class - fitting into all categories.  Please nominate in comments below!

  5. Thanks for complimenting my blog! I recommend Julie's blog because the design of her blog is good and I especially liked her essay about Out My Window. She compared and contrasted very well and I could notice that she learned much from watching those videos. Mr. Garrioch, you should also consider nominating Julie's(Kim Sun Myung) blog.

  7. I tried hard to find your contact point and concluded that this is the best way to reach you.

    Dear Mr. Garrioch:

    Hello Scott !
This is Shinwoong Kang and I’m a father of Jisue in the class-22. First of all, I would sincerely thank you for your hard efforts and enthusiasm you have shown during the camp. For the last a few weeks, it was my happiest time to visit your blogs and read the writings done by your GLPS students. I was always smiling while I was visiting a blog by blog, finding out what they have done, watching how they are improved in their writings.

I’m also very pleased that Jisue seems really enjoying her first blogging. Consequently, she can experiment more writings and learn the better way how to express what she want to say. This is exactly what I believe she needs to start developing in her age and English level. But I realized that it’s very difficult for kid to recognize it. So far, what I could do was to encourage her to read more books. She likes reading but her reading appetite is sort of picky. I have been asking her more nonfictions like history, documentaries, essays and journals but not so successful yet. Probably, this could be a good chance for my daughter to expand her reading to various categories. Please, if possible, encourage and stimulate Jisue to recognize why she has to continue writing after the camp.

As Yu Bin said in her poem, future is like liquid that can be shaped and managed. I strongly agree with her if we talk about a future of children. I’m so certain that all these experiences will affect students tremendously for their future study, well, not only study but also socialization. I’m glad that we have such enthusiastic faculties and GLPS program, which provides wonderful opportunity our children can participate without going abroad. I have absolutely no bit of hesitation to recommend other kids, including my younger daughter, to participate the GLPS camp for coming years.

I’m sure that Jisue’s having god experiences and can bring wonderful memories back home.
If you have any concern or comment on Jisue, please feel free to email me. Again, thanks a lot and wish you all the best.

    Warmest regards,

    Shinwoong Kang
